Build Faith

What is faith?

My business partner and mentor Bob Proctor tells of faith in his hugely successful book, You Were Born Rich.

In the book he says the best definition he has ever heard of faith comes from a man by the name of Clarence Smithison.

Smithison said that faith is: "The ability to see the invisible, to believe in the incredible and that is what enables believers to receive what the masses think is impossible"

Napoleon Hill is his classic book, Think and Grow Rich said that faith is the head chemist of the mind.

Faith is not hope - hope looks forward, faith knows it has already received and acts accordingly.

It is widely taught and accepted that you get whatever you think about most of the time. Thus, if you develop a clear mental picture of the things you want, adding every minute detail exactly as you would like to have it manifest, and hold this picture in mind all the time, with faith that you do receive it, you are stacking the odds firmly in your favour of achieving this desire.

Positive and negative thinking have been talked about almost ad-nauseam. The fact is, if you believe that you can achieve something, without a doubt, you will probably achieve it. On the other hand, if you doubt your abilities, you will probably prove yourself right when you fail.

I think it was Henry Ford who once said "Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't - you are right."

The crucial part of this process is FAITH. Faith is the crucial part of the creative process which can help you turn your dreams into reality and help you live the life you have always dreamed of.

Faith and fear both demand that you believe in something you cannot see. It is your choice what you choose to believe in. Fear cannot exist where faith is present.

Bob Proctor attributes the following quote to Abraham Lincoln, "To believe in the things you can see and touch is no belief at all. But to believe in the unseen is both a triumph and a blessing."
For those of us who are religiously inclined, God tells us more than 300 times in the Bible (in fact I have read somewhere that it says 365 times - one for each day of the year but I haven't been able to confirm that just yet) not to fear. Have faith.

If you work hard at eliminating your fears and building your faith, you will enjoy your life better. It won't happen overnight; it may not even be easy for you because you have to work at it. But I can assure you that it is well worth the effort.

Give Faith a go - move forward with faith and send fear packing. It has no part in your life.
